The DCC System is the fundamental building block for any digitally controlled layout and the range is extensive.  There is no direct correlation between power, functionality and cost with many possible combinations.  To keep matters simple we have categorised them purely on power output because that is the first consideration in the selection process and as a guide:

• Entry level starters are mostly train set controllers.
• Mid range will cover the majority of users.
• The high power systems can run very extensive model railways and the power hungry larger gauges.
